Games Night
After three days of worship and learning, Day 4 of Alabaster Week brought a lighter, joy-filled change of pace with Games Night at Stellenbosch Town Hall. The goal of the evening was simple: to build community, strengthen friendships, and remind everyone that fellowship in Christ is also filled with laughter and fun.
The hall was set up with a variety of games and activities—ranging from fast-paced group challenges to classic board and card games. Teams were formed on the spot, mixing people from different churches and backgrounds, creating opportunities to meet new faces and build connections.
Town Hall Worship Evening
Day 5 of Alabaster Week was a pivotal moment as the Stellenbosch Town Hall once again became the heartbeat of the movement. Unlike the lighter tone of Games Night, this evening carried a sense of reverence, anticipation, and bold declaration of faith.
The Town Hall gathering opened with vibrant praise that echoed through the historic walls, reminding everyone that the presence of God is not confined to a church building—it fills any space where His people gather. Worship flowed seamlessly into times of prayer and reflection, with leaders guiding the community to intercede for Stellenbosch, South Africa, and beyond.

Testimonies
Confession, Redemption, and the Power of Love
Alabaster week was life changing for me, it helped me look deeper within me. I saw that there’s so much power and freedom in confession. I saw that our confessions and testimonies are not only to free ourselves, but they are also for other people to see that they are not alone and no matter how much they have sinned, God still loves them.
As we were evangelising on Friday I remembered back to when I used to be the one on the line to the club. It feels different when you have been on both sides of the world. Evangelism also showed me how there is also a lot that we need to change as Christians, we need to lean more on leading with the love of Jesus and not condemn those who haven’t chosen the path we have. Speaking from experience, maybe if my friends and church condemned me for the worldly things I used to do, maybe I would have never given my life to Jesus because I would have felt unworthy of Jesus’ love. Thankfully that was not the case, so now what I want to do is lead with that love.
More events like Alabaster week are needed because they do really transform people. Some people decide their lives to Christ and some who already have, are inspired as they see that they are not alone or crazy for choosing to follow Jesus. Before I used to be ashamed of my past but now I’m not because it serves as a testimony and I know if I can be saved after all this then others can be saved too. Thank you.
